Dalnair Castle Lodge Wedding Photographer at Loch Lomond
Laura and Darren are from the Shetlands and wanted their day somewhere special, so they chose Dalnair Castle Lodge. Located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Dalnair Lodge is a Scots baronial gatehouse and the perfect venue for small and intimate weddings.
Dalnair a unique venue, and was perfect place for a unique couple like Laura and Darren to get married. Accompanied with their closest family and friends the day was full of happiness and family atmosphere, with the day being made even more perfect because of the beautiful summer sunshine.
Laura had chosen an amazing dress – large, full of lace and finished with silk. With her hair and make-up done, Laura looked beautiful in her dress. Darren looked equally as handsome in his kilt and black jacket and although he looked calm, he was starting to feel the strain by the time Laura arrived downstairs and outside into the garden. I could see the shaky hands…! To make the wedding special they were married on the patio at the rear of the lodge, married under an arch of fresh summer flowers by a humanist celebrant.
Laura and Liam were married outside, surrounded by the green of the surrounding trees and overlooked by the rich blue sky of a summer afternoon. A perfect location for a perfect afternoon and after some family groups and then portrait pictures of Laura and Liam, the day finalised with a family sit down and a few glasses of very cool champagne. It would be a long journey back to the Shetlands for them a few days later, but a journey that was worth making – for a beautiful summer wedding.
