Kyle met Eilidh through work, fell in love and asked her to marry him – which is why they were getting married at the Waterside Hotel in Ardrossan. It was early in the year and we couldnt have asked for better weather. It was bright, sunny and best of all – it wasnt cold. They wanted to get married somewhere which is unique, has great views and has plenty of accommodation for their guests – and the waterside ticked all their boxes. It’s a great venue to get married.
They both made their preparations at the hotel and the ceremony took place in the Kyle Suite, which is full of sunshine and overlooks the sea. Eilidh looked stunning when she was piped into the Kyle Suite as her dress was amazing. I must admit, I was quite taken aback myself when I took a few final pictures of her before the ceremony as I have never seen such a unique dress before. Beautiful.
Kyle, as well as everyone else in the room were amazed as Eilidh made her entrance, and then after a tearful ceremony it was canapes and then family groups outside on the lawn. After this I took Eilidh and Kyle onto the nearby beach with their bridesmaids and groomsmen and we made the most of the spring sunshine. The hotel back’s-up onto the beach, so it was an easy walk, and fortunately, the tide was out – leaving us with free access to the wonderful Ayrshire coast.
After their reception dinner it was time for the ceilidh, and with a really large room for the evening dances, Eilidh and Kyle led the way. Althought Kyle looked superb in his Argyll jacket and Loch Lomond Millenium kilt, but I’m glad to say that Eilidh stole the show with her dress. She looked so beautiful on this most special of days. I wish you both a long and happy life together and was so happy to be your photographer.
