Glasgow Register Office & Committee Room No.9 Wedding
John met Mark one evening and right from the first moment they knew that they had met the right person for each other. After a while they became inseparable, made even more frustrating when John had to move to a different part of Scotland and Mark to London due to their jobs. Absence, they say, makes the heart grow fonder – so it was inevitable that they decided to get married.
They chose a small ceremony at the Glasgow Register Office, with just a few of their closest family and friends, as well as two best men and three groomsmen – who’re all best friends with John and Mark. They were married in the Lemon Room with a simple ceremony and a heartfelt reading by John’s sister.
John and his best Man wore matching outfits, wearing black Prince Charles jackets and waistcoats and Modern Douglas Kilts, whereas Mark, his best man and two groomsmen wore matching mid-grey Lomond jackets and Spirit of Lochearn Kilts. They looked superb in their outfits.
They exchanged rings then walked down the aisle together as husband and husband, with smiles as wide as an ocean. After some pictures outside with their families and friends, I took John and Mark into Glasgow’s Merchant Square for some pictures before going to Committee Room No.9 for their reception in the upper function suite.
The suite had been decorated by John and looked elegant with its white table linen, simple floral arrangements and a lot that was subtly suited to the grey decor of the room. After the wedding breakfast their evening guests started arriving and with everyone present, John and Mark cut the wedding cake and made a very emotional speech to their family and friends. Then, the evening started – first with their first dance together and then afterwards a raucous and very fast ceilidh. A small but beautiful day for two lovely guys who are meant to be with each other. I am just so happy that I could capture their day in Glasgow.
