House for an Art Lover Wedding Photographer – Rachel & Colin

Rachel and Colin fell in love when they were in their last few years at school. They were the ‘couple’ and everyone knew they were inseprable – and they were. The left school, did Uni and then started their journey into their new working lives – still as a couple – so it was only natural that one day they should get married.

They decided to get married at the House for an Art lover at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park.  It was central for everyone, a lovely venue and best of all, it has lots of space for the evening party…

Colin and his groomsmen all wore black jackets and matching kilts and Rachel looked wonderful in an sleeveless ivory silk dress, with a heavily embroidered front, accompanied with a long veil. With two bridesmaids wearing turquiose and a wonderfully sweet flower-girl wearing white, the stage was set for a warm, emotional and loving ceremony.

After the ceremony and canapes, it was time for some family groups, which we did inside. Fortunately, the HFAL has room for this. Afterwards we managed to get outside for some pictures of Rachel and Colin and then it was back inside for the wedding breakfast.

When Rachel and Colin walked into the great breakfast-room, one of their family friends played to them using the Macintosh piano, which was a beautiful and emotive way to start the wedding breakfast. After some lighthearted sppeches – especially from Rachel’s Dad – it was time for the evening party. And what a party…
