House for an Art Lover Wedding Photographer in Glasgow

Shona and Jamie were married at the House for an Art Lover in Glasgow. Both are from Scotland originally, and although they live in Northumberland now, they travelled home to spend an intimate day with their families. Shona made her preparations at the Blytheswood Hotel in Glasgow, and rather than choosing something conventional, Shona decided upon a brown dress with black diamante for her wedding – complete with sparkly shoes…! Shona likes the unusual. After getting ready, she shared a glass of champagne with her Mum and Dad then made her way to the House for an Art Lover for her Intimate Wedding.

Jamie looked super cool in his light grey suit, and we took the opportunity for a few portraits next to the piano in the breakfast room – where they were going to get married. Shona arrived and we had a lovely ceremony, with some beautiful light coming in through the windows. During the ceremony Jamie’s brother and two of his friends sang a song to them – Bridge over Troubled Waters – which is a song very special to Shona and Jamie – so it was a very emotional moment for them.

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed a few glasses of bubbly and when the time was right we shot some group pictures. I then took Shona and Jamie into the nearby gardens for some bride and groom portraits, just as it started raining. Good old liquid sunshine…! Beating a hasty retreat back into the house we got some more pictures and before we knew it, it was time for the cake cutting, some speeches and then the wedding breakfast. A lovely day, a lovely weddings and a lovely couple.
