Same-sex WeddingsGLBT Friendly Photography
Thanks for Visiting
One of the great things about being in Scotland is that same sex marriage has been happening here since 2004. I photographed my first same sex ceremony in 2006, which is quite a few years ago now but over these years it’s been a pleasure to photograph each and every single ceremony.
I am a GLBT friendly Photographer and believe that same sex marriage should be celebrated like any other kind of marriage: openly, proudly and warmly – so it’s time to celebrate your love..!
SHARING YOUR VISION
Capturing your day
I firmly believe that everyone has the right to be themselves which is why I offer a service that is genuinely gay and lesbian friendly, and most of all, a professional service where you can relax, be yourself and not have to worry about the photography.
Whether you’re having a pink wedding, a same-sex ceremony or whatever your day is going to be, it’s still the coming together of two people who are in love, so let me help you with this journey through my picture taking.
Once the cars and cakes have all gone one of the few things you will have left to remember your day are your pictures, which are going to let you remember your day for many years to come. This is why you need to choose a photographer who not only shares your vision, but one who you can rely upon to capture your day.
Did you know that around one in eight marriages in Scotland are Pink Weddings…?
I really appreciate that it’s been a massive decision to get married, but maybe you’re not really sure about having a professional photographer to take the pictures. Well don’t be worried, because this day is all about you and your partner and it deserves to be photographed. Over the years I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, so I know where to be and what to do at any site of wedding. I also know just how nervous most couples are going to be, which is why I approach my weddings in a relaxed and candid way.
I don’t do stuffy and I definitely don’t do cheesy – because I strongly believe that every wedding deserves respect, so what you will get is tasteful, time-lasting and elegant photography that captures your day and all those unforgettable moments.

We would recommend Ian to anyone looking for a truly great photographer! We had a fairly small wedding, but we were still incredibly nervous, and it was great to have someone like Ian playing on our team. Ian really went above and beyond so that we never felt lost or confused in the hubbub after the ceremony. All of our guests noticed, and gave Ian high praise. We just got our album, and the photos are amazing! We couldn’t possibly have been any happier with our experience with Ian.

Ian did us proud when it came to the images captured of our special day. He was great fun to work with and just blended into the background, capturing the essence of the day rather than anything too staged. Yes, of course, we did the usual family photos which were posed, but Ian put everyone at their ease and the photos he took looked really natural. He also got some amazing shots of us in front of the beautiful Argyll & Bute scenery. A memorable day made even more so with the help of Ian. Thank you..!
