The Cruin on Loch Lomond Wedding Photographer
Heather & Darren
Their wedding day in Helensburgh, and at the Cruin at Loch Lomond…
Heather and Darren now live near Dundee, but they chose Helensburgh for their wedding because its Heather’s home town. Heather started the day at the local hairdressers, where I found her enjoying the coffee, the magazines and the curlers…! And after the hair and make-up, it was back home to get ready. Heather looked stunning in her ivory dress, finished in lace with white lace embossed shoes. Her two bridesmaids wore a deep shade of purple, which brightened the day considerably.
The ceremony took place at Helensburgh Parish Church. Heather attends a different church, but because there were too many guests for their own church, they arranged to use the larger parish church. They even brought their own ministers along for the ceremony, together with a string quintet and a four-piece band. After the ceremony I got Heather and Darren to walk around the town square where I stopped the traffic to take some pictures of them together. And why not…!
The reception and the rest of the day was at the Cruin, which is a large lodge overlooking Loch Lomond. After canapés, some groups and yet more pictures of Heather and Darren, the newlyweds and their guests sat down for prayer then a well earned wedding breakfast. The evening started with them cutting the cake, a first dance, then a raucous ceilidh – as they even brought their own ceilidh band with them. The weather was kind to us on this day. The day before and day after it was wet, so maybe Heather and Darren have friends in the right places…! Here are some pictures from their day….
