Why I like this picture at Marr Hall…
Is another of my favourite wedding day pictures. As a photographer its my job to observe and take pictures. And sometimes during a wedding you do catch a moment where you see the picture, raise the camera but the moment has gone. Sometimes though, you see the moment and manage to capture that moment in time.
This wedding was at Marr Hall, which is in Bishopton just outside Glasgow. It was a small wedding mostly with adults and just two children. During the ceremony I prefer to shoot my pictures from the back and the sides and at this point I was just moving forward ready for the exchange of rings when the two children wandered into the aisle and just ahead of me. I was at the right place at the right place at the right time – and I captured this picture.
I like my low angle, and I love the two children stood on the right, watching this moment in awe – or wonder – who knows what they were thinking. I don’t know why I like this picture so much, as its not a particularly busy picture, but I keep coming back to it and enjoying the moment. Maybe its because of the children or maybe its because of the simpleness of it, but its another of my favourite wedding pictures.
