Monika & Laszlo’s Wedding at Glasgow City Hall & Loch Lomond
Monika met Laszlo through work. They fell in love and decided to take the next step and get married. Monika is from Lithuania and Laszlo from Hungary, and they have lived and worked in Scotland for many, many years. They love Scotland and its their home, so when it came to getting married it was a no-brainer. They chose Glasgow City Hall for their wedding ceremony, and with its long history, its architecture and its marbled walls and stairways, it certainly is a stunning place to get married. And with family coming to Glasgow for the wedding, they certainly enjoyed the palacial splendour of the City Hall.
Laszlo looked every bit of the handsome man he is with his navy blue suit and grey waistcoat, and even though he’s a pretty chilled-out guy, I did detect a hint of nervousness while waiting for Monika to arrive. Monika looked stunning in her dress. Her A-line dress was finished in ivory silk, and with her looks and her elegance, she looked beautiful. She made her entrance with her Dad, who had come from Lithuania to give her away, and after a small but intimate ceremony, we photographed several family groups in an ante-room to the main wedding room.
We left the City hall and went to Loch Lomond for the Bride and Groom portraits, first visiting Balloch Castle, the Duck Bay at Loch Lomond and then finalising near the Maid of the Loch steamship at Loch Lomond Shores. After a quick drive back to Glasgow it was time for their wedding reception at the Bothy in Glasgow’s West End – with some warn ambiance and fine food. It was a wonderful day, with alot of picture taking, but it was worth it for such a lovely couple. I wish you a long and happy life for your new life together.
