Edinburgh Cathedral & Savoy Park Hotel Ayr Wedding Photographer

Viktoria and Iain’s story is one of those where Iain saw Viktoria from afar and just knew he wanted to get to know her. Eventually he pucked up the courage to ask Viktoria out and she accepted. The rest, they say, is history….

When planning their wedding they wanted the day to be special, and special it was. They planned to get married in Edinburgh Cathedral, a place which holds special memories for them, and then spend the rest of their day in Ayrshire, where they live.

A coach arrived with many of the guests, and Ian and his groomsmen. Iain and the groomsmen all wore grey kilts and dark grey tweed jackets and looked so amazingly cool. Vikoria arrived in her limousine and she looked so beautiful in her cream dress, finished with lace, a medium sized veil and a bouquet of summer flowers. With readings during the ceremony, and their signatures on the certificate, they left the Cathedral  onto the cobbled streets of Edinburgh. A few groups, then a few pictures on the Royal parade and then we were off to Ayr.

Their reception was at the Savoy Park Hotel, which is a lovely venue to spend your day. It has the rooms for guests to stay and lots of space for the wedding party to spend their day. With more group pictures and the newlyweds portraits in the enclosed garden it was time for the speeches and then the evening dances. It was a perfect day for Viktoria and Iain. As well as being married in Edinburgh amidst all that history, then spent the rest of their day enjoying the summer breezes of Ayr. A day to remember.
