Have you ever heard the quote: “Anyone can catch your eye, but it takes someone special to catch your heart”…? Well, that describes Jonathan and Sam. They met through friends while enjoying Glasgow’s night-life and although they are both independant men, over time they fell in love – and fall in love they certainly did.
If they were going to get married then they were going to do it their way and with style. The first thing was their day: having been to many weddings they felt that it was a really long day so they decided to turn the day on their head by having the reception meal first, and then after a small drinks reception, to have their ceremony later in the aftenoon. After their ceremony there was canape’s, and then for the grand finale the eveing would start with a cake cutting and then their first dance.
The second thing was their outfits: they both wore matching grey tweed suits for the afternoon reception, and then after a quick-change, they re-appeared for their ceremony and evening dances wearing matching grey argyll jackets and grey kilts. Now that is called putting on the style….
With about 120 guests for the day, the main ballroom at the Glasgow Central Hotel was filled to capacity, and the room looked stunning for both the meal and then the ceremony. They also had the most wonderful wedding cake which had two grooms on top made of icing – Jonathan and Sam. For the ceremony they had two artificial blossom trees for their entrace into the room – making their afternoon was complete. The ceremony was conducted by one of their friends from their local church, and I do admit, there was barely a dry eye in the room towards the end of the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony.
It was a wonderful day for two guys in love. Full of style, love and happiness. I wish you both love light and peace for your next journey in life.
