Elegant & Natural Wedding Photography in Glagow, Argyll and across Scotland.

A great marriage is not when the ‘perfect couple’ comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences…

Wedding Photography

Photography for Large, Small & Elopement Weddings

Okay, you’re looking for some great wedding photography so you’ve visited lots of websites, looked at zillions of wedding pictures and then found me – and hopefully you like my pictures. I photograph weddings of all shapes and sizes in Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Argyll and just about anywhere in Scotland.

I’ve been doing this long enough to know that every wedding is unique so it’s my role at any wedding to tell the story of your day through my picture taking because once the cars, cakes and choirs have gone, one of the few things you will have left will be your wedding pictures, and its these pictures that are going to keep the memories alive for many years to come. This is why its important to choose the right photographer for your day.

Who do you choose..?

There’s a zillion photographers to choose from, so why me…?

It’s my role at any wedding to tell the story of your day through my picture taking, as once the cars, cakes and choirs have gone, one of the few things you will have left will be your wedding pictures, and its these pictures that are going to keep the memories alive for many years to come. This is why its important to choose the right photographer for your day.

You’ve chosen your partner, the wedding date, the venue – and even the rings – and you’ve also looked at zillions of wedding photographers so your next decision is about the photographer and who to choose? Do you choose a friend, a part-timer or someone who’s just starting out to photograph your wedding – together with the disappointment this could bring – or do you choose a full time professional with a lifetime of experience..? It’s a big decision, but only one that you can make.

My Approach

Keeping the photography simple and the pictures colourful

My approach to weddings is to make things as easy as possible and not get in the way of the day. I find the best way to do this is by standing back and capturing the day as it unfolds, working quickly, quietly and as discreetly as possible – allowing YOU to get on with enjoying the day, and ME to capture those natural moments.

For most of the day I photograph things as they happen, and the only time I really get involved is for the groups and the portraits, with the groups taken in a more traditional style and the portraits taken in a more natural and elegant way. Most of all, I want to do is keep the photography simple, timeless and elegant – which I think is the best way to capture any kind of wedding.

Which I bring to each and every wedding

I’ve photographed enough weddings to appreciate that all weddings are different, which is why you need a photographer with experience. I have a lifetime of experience and I bring this experience with me to each and every wedding because with this experience comes the ability to think on my feet, especially when things don’t go entirely to plan, and for moments like that I always have a ‘Plan B’.

Whether it’s the weather, the cars, the flower girl, the venue or one of the many other things that could get in the way of the day, I’m always ready for next picture. And, being the nice guy that I am, I’ve also helped groom’s with their ties, brides with their veil’s, and even got a wee bit misty eyed with a few of the Mum’s during some ofthe speeches – because that’s what wedding photographers do…

Elegant and time-lasting pictures

Have you thought about the kind of photographer are you looking for…? Some photographers are very ‘alternative’ with their colours and posing, while some are very traditional. Some photographers  – like me – capture the day in their own way to create timeless and colourful images by keeping the photography as simple, as natural, and as elegant as possible.

Besides using superb cameras and lenses, I personally edit each individual picture file. Some photographers like to use funky colours during the editing process, but that’s not the sort of thing I do. What looks cool and trendy today will look dated next year and possibly ‘strange’ the following year so I edit my pictures to look natural and colourful, and I do this because I want your pictures to look just as good in 20 years time as they do today.

I suppose that’s the million dollar question… I know that all weddings are different, which depending on the size of your wedding, is why I have three price lists. All my packages include the digital files – as well as my commitment and of course my experience. I also offer albums with my portfolio’s, as I firmly believe that each couple should have the opportunity to cherish something tangible and unique for many years to come.
